Putnam Valley, NY – Five-Car Crash Closes Down Taconic State Parkway
Putnam Valley, NY (October 30, 2018) – A large traffic accident involving five vehicles was reported to have occurred on Monday morning, October 29, according to authorities. The crash took place at around 8:30 a.m. and forced the southbound lanes of the Taconic State Parkway to close down for around two hours.
According to officials, traffic had to be diverted off the parkway at Peekskill Hollow Road while crews worked to clear the debris. Police and emergency medical personnel were immediately on the scene to assist any victims and evaluate the damages.
At least minor injuries are believed to have been sustained, however, there has been no word as to the severity of wounds or the number of individuals involved. Authorities did not mention whether or not anyone had to be transported to a hospital for treatment.
No further information has been made available at this time, as police are currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
