Uniondale, NY – Six Hospitalized After Crash Involving NICE Bus
Uniondale, NY (November 30, 2018) – On Friday afternoon, November 30, a NICE bus was involved in a motor vehicle accident in front of the Nassau Coliseum that sent six people to the hospital. According to authorities, the injurious wreck took place at around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Overington Boulevard.
NICE officials reported that a passenger vehicle had struck the rear-end of the Route N70 bus while at a stop for reasons that have not been determined. According to officials, there were 30 people on the bus at the time of the accident.
Emergency medical crews were sent to the scene along with police where at least six people were confirmed to have been transported to a local hospital for various injuries. The extent of the injuries suffered has not been stated.
Neither the driver of the bus nor the other vehicle involved were hurt in the crash. No further details have been provided as police are currently investigating the incident.
