Dryden, NY – Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Turkey Hill Road
Dryden, NY (January 30, 2019) – A man who had been pushing a bicycle along Turkey Hill Road in Dryden was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday night, January 29. Authorities reported that the fatal accident took place at around 7:09 p.m. in the vicinity of Stevenson Road.
Police were immediately called to the scene along with Emergency medical personnel in order to render aid to the victim, who has only been identified as a 54-year-old man. According to authorities, the victim was walking north on Turkey Hill Road when a vehicle, operated by a 25-year-old woman from Ithaca, that was also traveling north struck the man for reasons that have not been confirmed.
Emergency medical crews were unable to save the victim as he was sadly pronounced dead shortly after they arrived at the scene. The driver of the vehicle involved was reported to have remained at the crash site and fully cooperated with authorities. The incident is currently under investigation at this time.
