Glen Cove, NY – Pedestrian Hit and Killed in Accident near Shopping Center
Glen Cove, NY (January 30, 2019) – Dispatchers sent police as well as emergency medical crews, to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred Tuesday night, January 29, according to authorities. The deadly incident took place at around 6:30 p.m. in the Stop & Shop parking lot on Forest Avenue in Glen Cove.
Police reported that one person had been hit by a vehicle in the vicinity of a Glen Cove shopping center for reasons that have not been stated. Paramedics at the scene were unable to save the victim as they were tragically pronounced dead shortly after their arrival. At this time, police have not released the identity of the victim.
The driver of the vehicle is believed to have remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities as there has been no word pertaining to any charges being filed at this time. No further information has been released.
