Perinton, NY – Reckless Driver Causes Crash that Injures at Least Three People
Perinton, NY (January 30, 2019) – A car crash that occurred when a careless and unlicensed driver slammed into a utility pole on Tuesday night, January 29, left at least three people injured. The accident was stated to have taken place along Route 96 in the town of Perinton, according to authorities.
Dispatchers sent police along with emergency crews to the crash site in order to evaluate the accident and render aid to the victims. At the scene, paramedics confirmed that three passengers suffered at least minor injuries due to the impact of the collision. The driver of the vehicle may have been hurt in the crash as well.
The accident caused the closure of Route 96 in both directions between the exit 28 ramp to Route 490 and the ramp toward Woodcliff Drive, in the vicinity of Eastview Mall. The driver of the vehicle involved, identified as a 20-year-old woman from Rochester, lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and was ticketed for driving without a license.
