Staten Island, NY – Three Injured in Crash on Korean War Veterans Parkway

Staten Island, NY (February 12, 2019) – Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that took place on Tuesday morning, February 12, according to authorities. The call concerning the crash came in at around 10:42 a.m. prompting responses from police and paramedics.

According to authorities, the cause of the collision which happened on the Korean War Veterans Parkway near the Huguenot Avenue exit has not been confirmed at this time, although no more than two vehicles are believed to have been involved. Paramedics who arrived at the scene confirmed that three people suffered at least minor injuries in the crash.

Two of the victims were reported to have been immediately transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, while one other victim was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Prince’s Bay. All southbound lanes of the parkway were forced to shut down for an undisclosed period of time.

No further information has been provided as police are likely continuing their investigation into the events that led to this incident.
