LeRoy, NY – Woman Arrested After Pedestrian Accident on Route 19
LeRoy, NY (March 31, 2019) – The LeRoy Police Department responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on Route 19 and one woman has since been arrested in the incident.
Police responded to the scene around 5 p.m. last evening after it was alleged that a man fell out of a moving vehicle and the driver kept driving onward. Several people witnessed the incident and stopped so that they could assist the man, who received a variety of injuries. The man was taken to the Strong Memorial Hospital.
When police arrived to assist the man, they discovered that the driver of the SUV had fled the scene. Police later determined that the driver was Lorie Litolff of LeRoy, who drove away after the incident.
Police believe that the man and Lorie were arguing before he got out of the vehicle, thinking that she would stop. He fell and was seriously injured but Lorie continued to drive. Police are not sure how fast the vehicle was traveling at the time.
Police also believe that Lorie was drunk at the time and that she had another person blow into her interlock device so that she could start it. She has since been charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident, driving while intoxicated, and a variety of other misdemeanors and felonies.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
