Rochester, NY – Fire at Residence on Langham Street Takes Life of Woman
Rochester, NY (March 31, 2019) – The Rochester Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire at a residence on Langham Street this morning in Rochester to find one person lost their life.
The fire was initially reported around 7:17 a.m. and units arrived within minutes. Firefighters had the fire under control quickly and, when they went inside the home, they found a female’s body. The victim’s husband was not home when the fire broke out.
Though officials are not sure what led to the fire, they said that they have not yet discovered evidence of suspicious activity. The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the death.
This is one of many fires that happened in the area within weeks but officials do not believe that the events are related. Their investigation continues at this time.
