Buffalo, NY – Woman Seriously Burned in House Fire on Johnson Street

Buffalo, NY (April 30, 2019) – Just shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening, April 29, police and firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire on Johnson Street in the city of Buffalo. The fire was reported to have broken out on the first floor of the home at around the above-mentioned time for reasons that have not been confirmed at this time.

According to authorities, firefighters arrived quickly along with emergency medical crews in order to control the blaze and assist any injured parties. Officials stated that an unidentified 78-year-old woman was reported to have sustained second and third-degree burns to her body.

The victim was immediately rushed to Erie County Medical Center where she is currently being treated. At this time, the patient remains listed in critical condition. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
