Croton, NY – Worker Injured when Boat Capsizes in Croton River

Croton, NY (April 30, 2019) – At an unspecified time on Monday morning, April 29, police and emergency responders were called to assist a group of three workers who were involved in a personal injury accident on the water. The accident resulted in at least one injured party and took place on the Croton River in the town of Croton, according to authorities.

Emergency responders were reported to have arrived at the scene of the incident after one worker suffered injuries while working on a boat in the river. The victim, identified only as a Croton DPW worker, was involved in the accident with two other unidentified men as they were working from a boat that capsized for undetermined reasons.

Emergency medical crews were promptly called to the scene of the incident where the injured victim received treatment, however, it was not specified as to whether or not that person was hospitalized. The other two workers are believed to have declined assistance as authorities began their investigation.
