Farmingdale, NY – Officer Struck in Hit-and-Run on Conklin Street

Farmingdale, NY (April 28, 2019) – On April 20 around 2:45 a.m., police were called to the scene of a disturbance where a hit-and-run accident then took place, injuring an officer.

The disturbance happened at the Mystique Hookah Lounge at 365 Conklin Street, where officers were immediately summoned to the scene. When they arrived, they found that a male victim had been slashed in the neck. Officers immediately began rendering aid to the victim.

A minivan started driving through the parking lot at that time, where it struck a parked Nissan and caused the car to spin and strike a pedestrian standing next to the vehicle. The minivan then struck an officer and a male victim on the ground. It then fled the scene.

The male and female who were struck, as well as the officer, were transported to the hospital with various injuries. Upon investigation, officers found that there were also two additional victims at the hospital.

The man responsible for the accident has since been identified as 19-year-old Eric Dori. He was charged with assault in the 2nd degree, serious injury leaving the scene of an accident, and more.
