Sweden, NY – Injurious Crash Reported on Highway 19

Sweden, NY (May 30, 2019) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries occurred on Thursday afternoon, May 30, in the town of Sweden and resulted in the presence of both police and paramedics. Authorities stated that the collision occurred at approximately 1:53 p.m. along Highway 19 for reasons that have not been verified.

According to police, responders were summoned to the area of Highway 19, in both the north and southbound lanes at Crestview Drive to assist any injured parties. After arriving at the crash site, emergency crews were able to confirm that at least one person had sustained injuries due to the impact of the accident. However, there has been no word regarding the severity of those injuries.

At this time, police have not stated how many people were involved in the collision but no more than two vehicles are believed to have played a role. The events that caused this accident are actively under investigation.
