Wirt, NY – 17-Year-Old Driver Injured in Crash on County Road 40
Wirt, NY (May 30, 2019) – An injurious car accident was reported at around 7:57 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, in the town of Wirt, according to police. The crash was stated to have happened along County Road 40 in the vicinity of Johnson Hill Road for reasons which may be related to mechanical failure.
Police stated that an unidentified 17-year-old female from Olean was traveling on County Road 40 in an unspecified vehicle when she lost control. Paramedics were sent to the scene along with police to assist any injured parties and evaluate the cause of the crash.
One injury was reported, and it is believed to have been the driver who was hurt, however, that information has not been verified at this time. Investigators are working to determine whether or not anyone else was involved in the accident.
