Levittown, NY – 12-Year-Old Injured in Bicycle Accident on Turnpike

Levittown, NY (June 30, 2019) – Early this evening around 6 p.m. on June 30, a 12-year-old was seriously injured in a bicycle accident on the Hempstead Bethpage Turnpike.

Nassau Police have not identified the name of the party but said that they were injured after being knocked down by a vehicle in Levittown.

The boy was struck when he was riding westbound on the turnpike, according to police. He was quickly transported to the hospital but his condition is not known at this time.

The driver who struck the boy remained at the scene so that he could cooperate with the police. The investigation continues at this time.
