New Paltz, NY – Man Hospitalized After Three-Car Crash on NY State Thruway
New Paltz, NY (June 30, 2019) – This afternoon, a man was hospitalized following a three-car crash that took place on the New York State Thruway around 2:55 p.m.
Firefighters responded to the multi-vehicle collision that took place involving a Mazda sedan, SUV, and Nissan sedan. The driver of the Mazda was injured. Police have not said what circumstances led up to the accident.
The male driver, whose name has not yet been released, was taken by a rescue squad to an area hospital and the extent of his injuries is not known at this time.
The crash left the involved vehicles extensively damaged. There was glass all over the highway, which forced responders to close both southbound lanes of traffic.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
