Poughkeepsie, NY – Serious Injuries in Pedestrian Accident on North Hamilton Street
Poughkeepsie, NY (June 29, 2019) – On Monday, a pedestrian accident took place on North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie that caused serious injuries to the pedestrian involved.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident. While there, they found that a black Nissan struck a rental truck before it ran into a pedestrian and then a bicyclist. The driver remained at the scene of the accident to cooperate with police.
Witnesses confirmed that the party came breezing through the intersection, where it was unable to stop as it plowed into others. The pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The roadway was closed down for approximately five hours following the accident. At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
