Rome, NY – Two in Critical Condition After Motorcycle Crash on Rome Taberg Road

Rome, NY (June 29, 2019) – Police confirmed that two people were left in critical condition following a motorcycle crash on Rome Taberg Road, which happened around 1:30 a.m. on June 26.

At the time, police said that 48-year-old Thurston Rudd was on his Harley Davidson motorcycle with a passenger, 30-year-old Kelly Sabia. The two motorcycles collided with a Kawasaki that was being operated by 49-year-old Peter Schipano.

Rudd was immediately taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Sabia and Schipano were both taken to two different hospitals and are in critical condition at this time.

Police have confirmed that no tickets have been issued but that their investigation into the accident continues at this time.
