West New York, NY – Woman Died Following Fatal Crash at 60th Street Intersection
West New York, NY (June 29, 2019) – On Sunday, a woman died from injuries that she sustained in a fatal crash that took place at the intersection of 60th Street and Jefferson Street.
The accident took place around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday. 24-year-old Fernando Batista had been driving a 2002 Acura north on Jefferson Street when he suddenly collided with a 2004 Infiniti that was headed west on 60th Street. Alyssa Matos was a passenger in Batista’s vehicle and was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition.
Three other people were hospitalized with various types of injuries due to the accident, including Batista and another passenger in his vehicle.
Police claim that the accident remains under investigation and that no charges have been filed.
