Waterloo, NY – Teenager Arrested for Rape of 10-Year-Old Girl
Waterloo, NY (April 30, 2019) – On Monday, April 29, police announced the arrest of a 15-year-old boy who allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl earlier this month. According to authorities, the teenage boy from Mentz was charged with first-degree rape, which is a class B felony, for the abuse that was reported to have occurred on April 13. State Police in Waterloo stated that the incident was reported on the same day that it allegedly happened and that the police were alerted by a member of the suspect’s family. The 15-year-old suspect was arrested at approximately 1:30 p.m. following an interview with the victim that was conducted at the Childhood Advocacy Center of Cayuga County in Auburn, according to police. Since the suspect is a juvenile, he will need to return to Cayuga County Family Court as opposed to criminal court.
